- Presentation : Digital Transformation – 45 min
- Site Visit : organization in two rotating groups – 1h10 (+45/60mn if option added to the program)
* Optional : (to be confirmed, if the area is open to visitors) : T4 laboratory visit with gowning provided by UCB: 45 min to 1 hour. Dress code for this option : long sleeves, trousers, flat shoes are mandatory + maybe no jewels and no make-up).
Welcome to Facility T2
The T2 building hosts two key teams driving innovation in biologics:
- Biologics Process Sciences (BPS): responsible for developing both upstream and downstream manufacturing processes.
- Clinical Manufacturing Sciences for Biologics and Gene Therapy (BCGMS): oversees and manages GMP-compliant clinical manufacturing for New Biological Entities (NBEs), up to a 2000L production scale.
Together, these teams play a critical role in advancing UCB’s biologics pipeline from process design to clinical supply.
Welcome to Facility T4
Gene Therapy Process Development, Analytical Testing and GMP Manufacturing The building serves as a one-stop shop for Gene Therapy CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) activities, integrating process development, analytical testing, and GMP manufacturing under one roof. It supports drug substance (DS) and drug product (DP) manufacturing at scales up to 500 liters and features a state- of-the-art filling line.
This consolidated setup enables seamless coordination across development and production workflows, accelerating timelines and ensuring high-quality outputs for gene therapy programs.
